I changed religion for my partner
The one thing nobody tells you
It was really important to him and I wasnt really religious before so really didnt think it was a big deal but I was shocked at how other people reacted there was quite a few people who were disappointed with me which is really sad. I also didnt anticipate how much commitment my new religion was going to take. I enjoy it but it was a bit of a surprise.

I'm in a similar situation right now. How long did it take before you felt like you actually belonged in the new religion rather than just going through the motions?
Honestly about a year. The first few months I felt like a fraud but then something clicked and it became part of my routine. The community helped a lot.
