What we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address and password. When you share a story we collect your submission data. When you choose to receive comment notifications, your account email is used for that purpose only.
How we use it
Your email is used only to notify you of comments on your stories and for account verification. We never sell, share or use your email for marketing without your explicit consent. Anonymous submissions display no personal information publicly.
Data storage
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database service. Data is stored in the EU (Europe West region). Firebase is operated by Google LLC and is subject to Google's data processing terms. WorthIt does not share your data with any other third parties.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights contact us through the site. You may delete your stories at any time via My Stories.
Cookies
WorthIt does not use tracking cookies. Google Analytics is used to understand general site traffic (no personal data). Firebase uses browser storage solely to make the platform function.

1. Who we are
WorthIt (worthit.me) is a community platform operated from the United Kingdom. By creating an account or submitting content, you agree to these terms.
2. Age requirement
You must be 18 years of age or older to use WorthIt. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. What WorthIt is
WorthIt is a platform for sharing real outcomes of life decisions. It is not a counselling, advice, medical, financial or legal service. Nothing on WorthIt should be treated as professional advice. All content is personal experience shared by community members.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the stories and comments you post.
By submitting content you grant WorthIt a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute and promote that content on the platform and in platform marketing.
You confirm your submissions are honest and based on your own genuine experience.
You must not submit content that is false, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or in breach of any law.
5. Content standards
WorthIt is built on honesty. Submissions that are fabricated, deliberately misleading, promotional, or that constitute advice rather than experience may be removed. We reserve the right to remove any content that breaches these standards without notice.
6. No advice
WorthIt is not an advice platform. Responses in the Help Me Decide section must reflect personal experience only. Users should not provide medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. WorthIt is not responsible for decisions made based on content shared on the platform.
7. Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account or use another person's account. WorthIt reserves the right to suspend accounts that breach these terms.
8. Liability
WorthIt provides the platform as-is. We are not liable for decisions made by users based on content shared on the platform. Content reflects the personal experiences of community members and not the views of WorthIt.
